Landslide In Uganda
Thirty-five people have been estimated to have died from a landslide in Bukalasi, a town in western Uganda.
The landslide slide destroyed homes and buried livestock on Thursday afternoon. Authorities say that many people were caught unaware and were washed away by the flood waters especially in the market area of the town.
The landslide pushed huge boulders into a river, which burst its bank. The ensuing water then swept several people away.
Relief teams are presently combing the area to search and rescue any survivors.
