St Joseph’s Convent Grenville Celebrates its 65th Anniversary
The St. Joseph’s Convent School in Grenville, celebrates its 65th Anniversary this week.
WPG10 attended the re-dedication of the school on the school compound on Tuesday. The ceremony was chaired by Father Anthony, from the Roman Catholic Church.
Father Anthony impressed upon those in attendance, not only the importance of education, but also the value of morals in our everyday lives.
He also implored the audience to re-dedicate their lives to God as to this is the only way to ensure freedom and happiness in our lives here on earth.
The list of events celebrating the anniversary is as follows:
Sunday 9th – Morning Mass
Tuesday 11th – Re-dedication of school; Tree planting ceremony; Recognition of principals
Wednesday 12th – Open House and Exhibition
Friday 14th; Health Fair and Fun Day; Netball Game (Past Vs Present)
Sunday 16th from 3 pm: Church service with Emulation Ceremony and Social
Several other initiatives have been rolled out in honour of the school, including a plaque unveiling at the re-dedication ceremony. Past and present students, friends and family and also the general public are invited to participate in the activities.
