Venezuelans Take To The Streets To Protest Maduro’s “Illegitimate” Leadership

Tens of thousands of Venezuelans took to the streets on Wednesday as anger continues to rise over President Nicolas Maduro’s “illegitimate” second term.

From late Tuesday evening, dozens of neighborhoods erupted in violence and protests, with many clashing with government troops.

Opposition leader of congress, Juan Guaidó , is gaining support across the country and he has personally called on the military to disavow Maduro as they seek to have fresh elections.

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence issued a message of support to Venezuelans in their struggle saying that Maduro is a dictator and has no legitimate claim to power.
