Pakistani Court Upholds Christian Woman’s Acquittal Of The Charge Of Blasphemy

On Tuesday, Pakistan’s top court upheld its previous decision to acquit Christian woman Aasia Bibi, who was originally sentenced to death for blasphemy.

The decision dealt a serious blow to radical Islamists who had called for the death of the woman after it was alleged that she blasphemed against the prophet Mohammed.

The decision now frees Aasia Bibi to leave the country which has dealt a blow to radical Islamists who had called for her execution.
