Jamaican Crowned Miss World Caribbean

Jamaica’s Kadijah Robinson made it to the final round of the Miss World and finished 4th in the pageant held in Sanya, China. She was the only Caribbean contestant to make it that far in the contest.

Vanessa Ponce de Leon from Mexico captured the coveted crown, becoming the first Mexican queen hold the Miss World title.

Robinson expressed her gratitude, followinfg the event, saying she is very excited and at the same time quite humbled by the placing and the experience.

Robinson, who is a physiotherapist, was one of the five continental queens crowned. She currently holds the title of Miss World Caribbean. The other queens are Europe (Miss Belarus), Americas (Miss Mexico), Africa (Miss Uganda) and Asia and Oceania (Miss Thailand).

Thirteen other contestants from the region took part in the competition.
