Deaf Boy Invades Papal Speech
A young boy caused quite a little stir when he decided to make his presence felt and walked on to the papal podium while the Pope was delivering a speech on Wednesday.
The boy did various mischievous acts like tugging on the hand of a Swiss guardsman and playing behind the Pontiff’s chair. Despite coaxing from the boy’s mother, the boy resisted with the Pope encouraging her to let him play. As the Pope put it, he’s free, unruly but free which drew laughs from the audience.
The mother told the pope that the family came from his native Argentina, which prompted the Pope to turn to a Bishop next to him, whispering that the boy’s Argentinian, therefore ill-disciplined.
